Product description

This recall involves Xing da Toy Oval Magnets. The magnet set is sold on a blister card and contains 2 magnets. The UPC barcode number for the products is 829841015673. The Xing da Oval Magnet model number is NS-103.

Health Canada has previously posted an advisory for this product and another similar product on June 3, 2021. 

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the magnets do not meet the magnetic force requirements of theToys Regulations and pose an ingestion hazard.

The results of swallowing small powerful magnets can be very serious and life-threatening. Swallowing incidents have often resulted in considerable damage to the gastrointestinal tissues and required emergency surgical treatment. For survivors, there can be long-term health consequences.

As of June 7, 2021, the company has received no reports of any incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

The company has reported that approximately 20 units of the recalled Xing Da Oval Magnets were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled magnets were sold up to December, 2019. Similar products may have been sold by other brick and mortar stores as well as by other online retailers.
