The Single Mud Kitchen (aka Mud Kitchen) is a children's outdoor play kitchen made of untreated/ unpainted natural wood and with a plastic wash tub, plastic water dispenser, pretend stove, slide out counter and a brass water tap (to attach a garden hose). The Single Mud Kitchen was packaged in brown cardboard packaging (2 boxes in total) with Big Game Hunters branding.
Product 2: Big Game Hunters Triple Mud Kitchen, Product Code 383, UPC 5035874001469.
Affected products were purchased by and shipped to consumers prior to January 1, 2021.
The Triple Mud Kitchen (aka Mud Kitchen XL) is a children's outdoor play kitchen made of untreated/ unpainted natural wood and with a plastic wash tub, plastic water dispenser, pretend stove and oven, slide out counter and a brass water tap (to attach a garden hose). The Triple Mud Kitchen was packaged in brown cardboard packaging (2 boxes in total) with Big Game Hunters branding.
Hazard identified
Testing performed showed that the brass taps on the Single and Triple Mud Kitchens contained lead in excess of the allowable limits in the Consumer Products Containing Lead Regulations.
As of May 27, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
The company reported that 187 units of the affected product were sold in Canada, 133 units of the Single Mud Kitchen and 54 units of the Triple Mud Kitchen.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from April, 2020 to December, 2020.
