Product description

The Joy/JM branded "My Little Steamer®" and "My Little Steamer® Go Mini" are clothing steamers. The products are hand-held electrical appliances (120V, 60Hz, 900W), which emit hot steam to remove wrinkles from clothing and other fabrics. The products were sold in two sizes: the standard (or deluxe) full-size My Little Steamer or the compact-size My Little Steamer Go Mini. The steamers were sold individually or in combination sets in a variety of colours, including black, white, red, purple, and teal. The affected models have either a flat or triangular steamer head, and the name of the product is printed on the side of the unit.

Hazard identified

The products can expel, spray, or leak hot water during use, posing a potential burn hazard to consumers.

As of April 30, 2021, the company has received 1 report of injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 227 reports of hot water spraying or leaking from the steamers, including 106 reports of injuries.

The company reported that approximately 14,342 units of the affected products were distributed in Canada and 5.4 million were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from 2007 to 2013 in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using and destroy the affected products. Contact HSN for information about how to receive a full refund for units purchased from January 2018 to December 2020 or a partial refund for units purchased before January 2015.
