Product description

This recall involves three children's flashlights that come with 3 or 4 interchangeable light covers. The date code 20-05-966658-SPI is printed on the upper side of the flashlight.

Ghostbusters flashlight Green with Ghostbusters logo
My Little Pony flashlight Light blue with colourful ponies

 

Hazard identified

The batteries in the flashlight can overheat, posing a burn and fire hazard.

As of December 1, 2020 the company has received no report of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injury. In the United States, the company has received 4 reports of the flashlight overheating, and 1 report of a minor burn.

Number sold

The company reported that 380 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and 6,100 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from August 2020 to September 2020.

What you should do

Immediately take the flashlights away from children, stop using it, remove the batteries and dispose of the flashlight.  Contact Spirit Halloween for a refund.
