3M Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield with UPC 051125002004 sold in Canada

Product description

This recall involves 3M Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield 10.5 oz (approximately 297 grams) aerosol can sold to Canadian consumers for use on fabrics for protection from the elements. The English only green and white product label features a blue tent, boat tarp and hiking gear. UPC 051125002004 can be found on the bottom of the can.

This recall does not include 3M Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield with UPC 051125002004 sold to consumers in the United States.

Hazard identified

The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements for consumer chemical products required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

This lack of labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

As of August 13, 2019 the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injury.

Number sold

Approximately 2,167 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from August 2018 to August 2019.

Place of origin

Manufactured in the United States.
