Product description

This recall involves the Legrand 15-AMP 125-Volt White Indoor Duplex Wall Outlet sold exclusively at Lowe's retail stores across Canada.

The recalled product is a white colored, 2-wire, non-grounded electrical outlet or receptacle, which is designed to be installed in the wall.

This product is identified by Model 4025W-CC20, with UPC code 78500785748.

The model number and UPC code can be found on the back of the outlet. 

Hazard identified

The affected product has not been approved to the Canadian standards for electrical products and it is unknown if the product is in compliance with the applicable safety standard.

As of March 14, 2019 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 240 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from February 2018 to January 2019.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately unplug any electrical cords from the outlet and stop using the wall outlet or receptacle and contact Legrand for a full refund.
