Product description

This recall involves the FLEXI LIGHT multi-purpose utility lighter. The lighters have a flexible black metallic barrel attached to 2 silver parts and the brand name "Clair de lune/ Ambiance" printed on the lighter. The lighters can be identified by the lot/style number 1357, the sku number 2039360 and the UPC 885240393606 printed on the product label.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that these lighters do not meet the Lighters Regulations in Canada and may pose a fire or burn hazard.  Specifically, the child-resistant mechanism may not work properly.

As of June 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lighters.

Number sold

Approximately 6,539 units of the recalled lighters were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled lighters were sold from February, 2017 to June, 2018.

Place of origin

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lighters and dispose of them according to their local municipal waste requirements. Consumers may contact Les Distributions Orca Lite Inc. for a refund.
