This recall involves two lots of Remedy Essentials Foaming Cleanser. The affected products are in white 8 fl. oz. (236mL) bottles with a blue and green label. The lot numbers can be found at the bottom of the bottle.

Hazard identified

The affected product is contaminated with the bacteria Burkolderia cepacia. Burkolderia cepacia can pose a risk of infections to consumers, especially those with weakened immune systems.

As of April 17, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or infections in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 10,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from August 2017 to March 2018.
