Product description
This recall involves a four-wheel pedal powered go-kart intended to be used by children ages 4 to 10. The product is sold as the Nerf® Battle Racer, and is marked with the Nerf® logo on the body of the go-kart. The go-kart is approximately 125 cm deep, 69 cm high and 59.5 cm wide.

The model number and date code can be found on a sticker located on the back of the frame below the seat.
This recall does not include Nerf® Battle Racers with a date of manufacture after 03-2017 as these products involve a new steering wheel design.
Hazard identified
The Nerf® Battle Racer's steering wheel can detach, break or crack when put under extreme stress or constant pressure, posing a risk of laceration or bruising.
As of May 3, 2018, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of injuries: one report of an incident involving a laceration injury and one report of a minor scrape.
Number sold
Approximately 2,100 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 26,000 were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from January 2016 to December 2017.
