Product description

This recall involves Manhattan Toy's WinkelTM Color Burst teething and activity toy. The toy has multi-coloured plastic tubing inserted into a plastic cube with rattle beads inside. The toy is approximately 10.2 centimetres (4.0 inches) wide, 12.7 centimetres (5.0 inches) long and 8.9 centimetres (3.5 inches) high and is intended for children 0+ months.

The lot code can be found on the centre cube of the product or on the packaging (hang-tag or box) near the UPC.

Hazard identified

The plastic tubes can break into small pieces, posing a choking hazard to young children.

As of July 6, 2017, the company has received one report of broken tubing in Canada, and no report of injuries.  In the United States, the company has received four reports of plastic tubes breaking, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 1,030 of the recalled toys were sold in Canada, and approximately 14,400 of the recalled toys were distributed in the United States.

Time period sold

The recalled toys were sold from May 2015 to September 2016 in Canada and the United States.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and return it to the store where purchased, or contact The Manhattan Toy Company for a full refund.
