Hazard identified

The fan motor and attached blades can separate from the adapter when operating in reverse updraft mode, causing fan motor and blades to fall. The installation instructions for the fans include instructions for installing a secondary support cable. Though the fan may be attached to a secondary support cable if it falls, there is the possibility of injury to individuals standing underneath the fan.

Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.

The Casablanca Fan Company has received eight reports in the United States of the fan motor and blades falling, including one report of minor injury and one report of minor property damage.
