Product description
This recall involves Olympic pool ladder ACM-101AS. This is a resin ladder with a cover and automatic lock. The ladder is 61 cm wide and adjustable for pool walls measuring 122 cm to 137 cm in height.
Hazard identified
Even when the cover is closed and locked, it is possible for a child to use the steps on the backside of the ladder and reach the pool without adult supervision, posing a drowning hazard.
One incident has been reported to Health Canada and Champlain Plastics related to the use of this product. No injuries were reported.
Number sold
Approximately 10,000 units of the recalled product have been sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled product was sold from March 2011 to February 2014 by various pool retailers.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Canada.

What you should do
Consumers should stop using the ladder immediately and contact the retailer where they purchased the product for a repair kit.
