Product description

This recall involves Fill Your Own Panda Play stainless steel food containers. Containers come in two sizes: 250 mL (8 oz) and 500 mL (16 oz). Containers are blue in colour with cartoon depictions of pandas and bamboo. Containers have a screw-on stainless steel lid.

Hazard identified

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has revealed that these containers contain lead in excess of the allowable limit. Children can ingest harmful amounts of lead when they chew, suck or swallow items containing lead.

Neither Health Canada nor Fill Your Own has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 500 of the recalled 250 mL (8 oz) steel food containers and 500 of the recalled 500 mL (16 oz) steel food containers were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled stainless steel food containers were sold from July 1, 2010 to April 25, 2013.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
