Hazard identified

The recalled sleepwear does not meet the flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.

Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body, resulting in shock and sometimes death.

Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the affected products.

For more information, see Health Canada's Children's Sleepwear Fact Sheet.
