Product description
This recall involves green lawn tractors with yellow seats and mower decks of Model D100 with various serial numbers. The model number is located on both sides of the tractor's hood. The serial number is located under the right rear fender.

Hazard identified
The hardware used to hold the brake assembly to the transmission housing can break. This can cause the brakes to fail, posing an injury hazard due to the loss of control.
Neither Deere & Company nor Health Canada have received any reports of incidents or injuries related to these products.
Number sold
Approximately 60 of the recalled lawn tractors were sold in Canada at John Deere dealers, and Home Depot and Lowes stores nationwide.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from October 2010 to September 2011.
