MSA Nuevo Wrap Safety Glasses

Product description

This recall involves MSA Nuevo Wrap Protective Eyewear sold as MSA part number 10106385. These safety glasses are wide, wrap-style with gray lenses, black frame and gray rubber pads for the nose and along the bottom of the arm stems. A MSA logo can be found printed on the right hand arm stem.

Hazard identified

Testing by the CSA Group has shown that glasses distributed between October 2017 and April 2018 do not comply with the side impact requirements of the safety standard for eye and face protectors. The affected safety glasses may not provide adequate protection against side impact, posing a risk of eye injury.

As of June 13, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 3,851 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The products were sold by safety supply distributors in Canada from October 17, 2017 to April 16, 2018.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
