Tourmaline Ionic Hair Dryer
Product description
This recall involves the “trinité professional” tourmaline ionic hair dryer identified by model TRI 801. The hair dryer is black and white in colour with “trinité professional” written on the shaft of the product.
Hazard identified
It has been determined that the identified products are not authorized to bear the cETL (Intertek) certification mark on the unit or the cUL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification mark on the cord.
Cosmetic Wholesale and Health Canada have received one report of the hair dryer smoking/sparking when the power was turned on. No injuries were reported.
Number sold
Approximately 250 units of the recalled hair dryers were sold at Winners and Marshalls (TJX Canada) stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled hair dryers were sold from October 1st to 18th, 2012.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

Consumers should stop using the recalled hair dryers immediately and return them to the retailer for a full refund.
